Experience I have been practising as a therapist since 1993 after qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist. After 10 years of successful private practise in South Africa, I returned to the UK. Before this I worked as a Social Worker in Probation Services and Hospital Services. In the UK I worked as a Psychologist for the NHS addiction services in SW london. I have worked as a school counsellor from 2007 to 2010. I have worked for Relate as a couple counsellor from 2007 to 2010. From 2008 - 2018, I was Head of School in Counselling and Psychology Newham College University Centre , Stratford London. My orientation: I work as an Integrative therapist. This involves matching my approach to what would best suite the client and the problem. My primary approach is Person-centred, with a Systemic understanding of problems. I have extensive experience in both CBT and Psychodynamic approaches. I am trained in EMDR, an approach for treating trauma.
